Job Description
Purpose:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for developing both new and existing markets in Singapore and
Southern Malaysia, driving sales growth, and building strong relationships with
customers and industry stakeholders. This role combines technical expertise, market
development, and account management to support the company’s business expansion
within the construction and building materials industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities and expand market presence in assigned regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, engineers, and key stakeholders
in the construction industry. - Conduct market research on customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities
to support business development and product strategy. - Generate leads, prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage key customer accounts
to achieve sales targets. - Provide technical support, product recommendations, and after-sales service to
customers. - Coordinate with R&D, testing institutes, and certification bodies (e.g. Singapore
Green Label) to support product development and technical collaboration. - Support exhibitions, trade shows, and other marketing initiatives in Southeast Asia.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, safety regulations, and
internal controls.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Science, or related
field (Sales/Marketing qualification is an added advantage). - Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the building or construction industry.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good computer skills and sound business judgment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
