We are pleased to share the cherished highlights from our company’s Team Building and Annual Dinner, held on 30th April 2025, a full day that brought together camaraderie, teamwork, and celebration for the entire DCSM family.

The day began at Taman Botani Negara (National Botanical Park), Shah Alam, where employees from across our headquarters and branch offices in Penang and Johor Bahru came together, along with our dedicated foreign workforce. This diverse participation reflected the inclusive spirit of the company, with everyone contributing to the shared excitement of the event.

Upon arrival, staff were required to either take a scenic two-kilometre walk or ride a lorry or tourist minibus from the Forest Ranger Post to the campsite. The journey itself set the tone for the day, offering colleagues a chance to mingle and enjoy the lush greenery of the park before the real activities began.

The team building programme was carefully designed with the objective of strengthening employee relationships, closing social gaps, and building mutual trust through interactive challenges. Activities such as Land Raft, A-Frame, Smart Ball, and Water Rafting were not only fun but also tailored by professional trainers to instill key workplace values which are leadership, communication, perseverance, coordination, and teamwork.

The morning sessions were filled with energetic outdoor challenges that left everyone sweating, laughing, and pushing beyond their limits. In contrast, the afternoon shifted indoors, where participants engaged in motivating, thought-provoking activities designed to foster reflection, self-awareness, and team motivation. The balance of physical and mental exercises ensured that the programme catered to all aspects of teamwork and personal growth.

By 4:00 p.m., the team building event concluded, and staff were given time to return home, refresh themselves, and prepare for the much-anticipated Annual Gala Dinner.

That evening, at Hotel Mardhiyyah, Shah Alam, the company hosted a glamorous masquerade-themed dinner. The atmosphere was truly enchanting, as the majority of employees embraced the theme wholeheartedly, donning elegant gowns, sharp suits, and ornate masks. In total, 85 staff members attended, filling the ballroom with a vibrant display of creativity and festive spirit.

The night’s programme featured a variety of staff performances and friendly competitions, showcasing the hidden talents within the company. Laughter, applause, and cheers echoed throughout the hall as colleagues celebrated not only joyfulness but also to each other’s contribution. The evening concluded at 10:30 p.m. with every attendee receiving a commemorative company umbrella, a practical yet meaningful token symbolizing unity and shared memories from the day.

Although it was indeed a long and eventful day, filled with back-to-back engagements, the energy, enthusiasm, and commitment displayed by all participants were truly commendable. The high level of involvement from every employee clearly marked the success of both the team-building activities and the gala dinner.

As we look back on this special day, we are reminded that the strength of DCSM lies not only in our work but also in the bonds we build with one another. May these moments of unity and joy continue to inspire us as we work together toward future success and shared achievements.
