Estoseal 109

Estoseal 109

Estoseal 109 is a one part, gun applied, and moisture activated polyurethane sealant. After application a skin forms rapidly leaving the body of the sealant to cure more gradually, the rate being dependent upon temperature, humidity and dimensions of seal.

During the curing period, one part polyurethane sealants will accept limited movement normally associated with the applications described. Full cured sealant is capable of joint movement due to shrinkage and thermal changes do not exceed 25% Movement Accommodation Factor related to joint width.

Estoseal 109 has been tested in accordance to ASTM C661 – 98 on Shore ‘A’ Hardness; ASTM C793 – 05 on UV Resistance Condition; ASTM E1399 – 97 on Movement Accommodation Factor and complied with the specification in this data sheet.

Application

For sealing vertical and horizontal movement joints in pre-cast concrete panels and metal curtain walls, window and door frame surrounds and other building components.

Benefit & Feature

Estoseal 109 is a one-part polyurethane joint sealant which, on exposure to atmospheric moisture, cures to form a flexible rubber seal.

  • One part gun application
  • No mixing required
  • Class A Sealant - Total Joint Movement 50% (±25%)
  • Non-Hazardous
  • Cures to a tough, flexible rubber
  • Available in a range of colours
  • No priming required on most substrates
  • Excellent adhesion to most substrates
  • Good weathering resistance
  • Does not support fungal growth
  • Paintable- Compatibility with water-based paints

 Limitation

Over painting of sealants is not recommended because of the ability of paint film to accept movement. However, if definitely required, trials should be carried out to determine compatibility.
